Hi, I’m Emily Parker!
I’m a home cook, mom, coffee-first kind of person, and the recipe writer behind Simple Air Fryer.
I’ve been cooking for so long that it just feels normal now. It’s not something I learned overnight. Growing up, I picked things up from family recipes, then later from cookbooks and a lot of trial and error. Plenty of meals turned out weird or boring. But over time, you start to notice what actually works when you’re feeding a family and trying to stay sane.
What I eventually realized is this: the recipes you come back to again and again aren’t the fanciest ones. They’re the ones that don’t let you down. Simple steps, good taste, and no drama. That’s the kind of cooking I really love.
Give me basic ingredients, clear instructions, and permission to take a shortcut when I’m tired. If frozen fries save dinner, great. If a plain chicken recipe makes everyone happy, that’s a win in my book.

I wasn’t looking for another kitchen gadget. Honestly, I already had enough things taking up space in my kitchen. But I bought an air fryer because I wanted dinner to feel a little less stressful.
At first, I used it for the obvious things: frozen fries, chicken tenders, and reheating leftovers. But the more I tried, the more useful it became. Chicken turned out crispier. Potatoes cooked faster. Vegetables got more interesting. And reheated food actually tasted good again, which is not something I can usually say about the microwave.
Slowly, it became the appliance I reached for first. Now I use it for quick lunches, weeknight dinners, side dishes, appetizers, and those nights when I want something simple but still homemade.
My style in the kitchen is pretty straightforward. Nothing too fancy. I am not trying to impress anyone with complicated recipes. I just want food that tastes good and does not leave me with a mountain of dishes.
Most of what I make starts with regular grocery store ingredients: chicken, potatoes, vegetables, eggs, cheese, basic seasonings, and simple sauces. I care about juicy chicken, crispy edges, good seasoning, and instructions that actually make sense when you are tired and hungry.
When I am not cooking or testing recipes, I am probably spending time with my family, drinking coffee, making a grocery list, or cleaning up a mess that somehow involved more bowls than necessary.
I love cozy weekends, easy dinners, kitchen shortcuts that actually work, and recipes that make someone say, “Can you make this again?”
I am also the kind of person who reads recipe comments, compares air fryer cooking times, and scribbles notes when something turns out better than expected. That is how most of my recipes start: with a regular meal, one small tweak, and the thought that maybe someone else would find it helpful too.
I started Simple Air Fryer because I wanted a place for air fryer recipes that were easy, clear, and dependable.
There are plenty of air fryer recipes online. But a lot of them are confusing, unrealistic, or not tested the way people actually cook at home. I wanted this site to feel more like a helpful friend in the kitchen. Someone who has tested the recipe, made the mistakes, cleaned up the mess, and figured out what actually works.
Here you will find simple meals, crispy sides, quick snacks, appetizers, beginner tips, and practical cooking guides. My goal is to help you feel more confident with your air fryer, whether you just bought one or you have been using it for years.
I share recipes that are:
